The Strawberry Tea by Dawn Jenkins

We all set off for the Strawberry Tea

Jacky ,Brenda  David and me

Aimee ,Barney L,Barney J,Denim and Molly

That Zafira was full to the brim by Golly!

David took Denim in the “Puppy walk”

Whilst Jacky and Dennis had a “puppies talk”

Molly and Barney L went in the “Rescue Parade”

I took BarneyJ , and Aimee stayed in the shade

On the wet retrieve Molly wouldn’t   get in

The crowds shouted socks off but David thought this a Sin!!

The 2 barneys dived in when I said “In the bath!”

So I jumped in too for a bit of a laugh!!

Then the Heelwork to Music Demo

I decided Molly and BarneyL  should have a go

Molly wasn’t bad for a first try

But BarneyL looked as if to say “why?”

Then came the sandwiches and cakes “Ah Tres Bon!”

And as for the strawberries they were soon gone!

We were able to chat to friends old and new

And fuss each others dogs as Beardie owners do!

As the end of the day drew nigh

We all went home on a high

Dogs and humans every one

Had their taste of summer fun!
